In Reading 1 we focused on how to teach reading to students k-3 at all skill levels. We learned how to inspire students to want to read and also how to make phonics fun with games. We developed several lessons and presented them to the class. We practiced running records. We gained an ENORMOUS amount of resources in the form of printouts. But most importantly we learned about how students learn to read and how to teach students at all levels how to become better readers.
